Description

GMECs Home Health Nursing Essentials package is designed to provide California Healthcare Professionals with the most current practices and protocol being used in the field today. Upon completion of this course the healthcare provider will have been instructed in defining basic terms and concepts of mechanical ventilation, better recognize and assess existing and developing wounds, and possess a foundation of understanding for Oasis and a variety of documentation. This course is designed to provide new and established nurses with the most recent procedures and protocols in the Home Health field.

This is a three-day course that touches on a range of topics, all vital to the better care and management of patients in a home setting.

GMEC’s Ventilator Training course is intended and designed primarily for healthcare providers who require initiation into applications and need to acquire basic skills with respiratory equipment. Personalized curriculum, short term, and hands on training in a low stress environment all promote a greater retention of information and techniques.

GMEC’s Wound Care Prevention course is developed around that the most important factor regarding wound care, prevention. This course emphasizes the importance of a provider’s overall ability to recognize, assess, and prevent the development of a variety of common wounds as well as exploring the current and accepted treatments in a healthcare setting. As outlined by the BVNPT and BRN, this course is for educational purposes only and does not identify LVNs or RNs as a Certified Wound Care Nurse. This course will not allow one to perform procedures that are beyond one’s specific scope of practice.

GMEC’s Home Health Standards of Care Planning course is intended and designed primarily for healthcare providers who require understanding of legal and ethical dimensions of proper documentation and standards of care planning. Topics include standards of practice and proper care planning that include of patient education, rights and responsibilities, providing for daily activity needs, preventing and reporting abuse, transportation, and proper documentation.
