The National Alliance of Wound Care® has been determined that this program’s content does cover all of the domains that candidates who take the WCC® Certification Examination will be tested on. Therefore, this program’s graduates will be considered to have met the educational requirements and be permitted to test for the Wound Care Certified® certification. GMC has been listed on the website as a provider that has met the certification committee criteria, e.g. found here NAWCCB Education Providers.

This online on-demand course consolidates certification exam study materials into one online course with materials from basic to advanced knowledge on wound care essentials needed to pass the national certification exam. The materials are aligned with one another to assist with deeper understanding of essentials topics is wound care that are covered in the certification exam. The course materials include a study guide, flash cards, practice exams, and in-depth content on essential topics. This course provides evidence-based information in the areas anatomy and physiology of skin, wound prevention, assessment, and care, nutrition, lymphedema, pediatrics, vascular, physical therapy modalities, as well as bariatric, geriatric, pediatric, and the palliative care patient.

The course includes the textbook, Wound Care Certification Study Guide, and an in-depth reference book on wound care essentials and research. The course includes sample exams and other study tools and materials through our partnership with Mometrix Test Prepration.

The program fee does not include the national certification exam fee.
