Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) also known as AB-508 violence prevention course is designed for individuals working within healthcare and emergency medical services fields. This course is AB-508 and SB1299 compliant with the new regulation that requires hospitals to implement a Workplace Violence Prevention Program. This 4-hour course covers both the theory, regulations, and psychology of patients in dangerous situations, prevention, and de-escalation tactics, and basic defense and methods of protection should the need arise to manage assaultive behavior.
This course is intended for professional providers in a wide variety of settings including but not limited to LVN’s, CNA’s, RN’s, EMTs and First Responders, Psychiatric Technicians, among other healthcare providers.
