The Medical Billing program is designed to give the students an in-depth understanding of complex issues involved in the medical insurance billing industry. Students will gain practical knowledge to enhance their understanding of medical insurance billing practices as well as learn skills required to operate efficiently in today’s medical offices, hospitals and clinics. The Medical Billing program helps students develop the knowledge and skills needed to work in healthcare reimbursement. Topics studied include medical terminology, documentation, patient billing, and special consideration such as ICD-10 and X12 5010, among others.

Description

Prepare for your Certified Professional Coder Apprentice (CPC-A) exam administered by the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC).

Our online Medical Billing program can help you prepare for the certification exam. Upon graduating the Medical Billing program you will receive your Genesis Medical College Certificate of Completion attesting to your accomplishment. GMC’s Medical Billing program together with our Medical Coding program will help prepare you to take the Certified Professional Coder Apprentice (CPC-A) exam, administered by the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC). Certification exams are administered by independent third parties. You are not required to take a certification exam, however, taking this additional step will help you market yourself to potential employers and validate your Medical Coding knowledge.

Your CPC-A exam fees are included in your tuition-up to a $325 value.
