Basic IV Therapy Theory and Knowledge for EMTs -

The Basic IV Therapy Theory and Knowledge for EMTs course is designed to meet Orange County Emergency Medical Services (OCEMS) continuing education requirements. This comprehensive three-day course provides EMTs with foundational knowledge in IV therapy and blood withdrawal, emphasizing safety, theory, and clinical decision-making in prehospital care settings.

Program Schedule & Enrollment Information

Select the cohort start date and complete enrollment requirements prior to the deadline. Allow time for admissions review, entrance exam, document uploads, and orientation attendance.

Hybrid course with required online coursework completed prior to the live lab.

This course prepares EMTs to understand and apply IV therapy and blood withdrawal concepts within their scope of practice while responding effectively to emergency situations.
