Blood Withdrawal -
LVN Certification
The Blood Withdrawal – LVN Certification course is approved by the California Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians (BVNPT) and meets state requirements for Blood Withdrawal Certification for Licensed Vocational Nurses. This program allows LVNs to complete required board certification in a single weekend through a combination of live online instruction and hands-on skills training.

This course prepares LVNs for IV Blood Withdrawal certification
This course prepares Licensed Vocational Nurses to safely and competently perform blood withdrawal procedures in accordance with BVNPT requirements.

- Safety and infection control
- Anatomy and physiology
- Blood withdrawal equipment and supplies
- Dermal puncture procedures
- Venipuncture procedures
- Complications and patient monitoring
- Documentation and legal considerations
- Live puncture procedures
Program Format & Enrollment Information
This course is offered in a hybrid format, combining live online lectures with in-person with in-person classroom skills practice on mannequins and people.
